Antique nails and copper wire.

My grandfather (right) was born into poverty in 1930s Lebanon. As a child, he would collect discarded nails, straighten them by hand, and sell them at the market. He was extremely resourceful in all his endeavors and eventually was able to take his family to America during the Lebanese civil war. I recreated a strand of nails as he would have as a nod to his beginnings.
